Aroma de la Mer is my favorite spot in this incredibly cozy town. The restaurant feels like home—the staff is so friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. Everything is incredibly fresh—you can almost taste the sea in their fish, and the vegetables are so vibrant you can smell the earth. Beyond the amazing food, the view is breathtaking. From up here, you can see Agung the Vulcan, which makes the experience even more special. Enjoying a meal while taking in that view feels like being in the heaven of food. Thank you, Aroma de la Mer, for all the wonderful meals and warm hospitality. Every visit has touched my heart. If you’re nearby, I highly recommend stopping by! ~ Lars S

Brand new restaurant! Must try this place. The food is fantastic. Don't be fooled by the name 'aroma of the sea', my partner and I had a great meal right next to the sunset point overlooking mountains and the ocean and they had fantastic vegetarian options. We forgot to take pictures of the food because it looks so good, we just finished it. Tasted as fabulously as it was presented. Definitely recommend to anyone in Amed! (The picture is of the chicken satay ...excellent peanut sauce. We also tried the tofu vegetable croquettes and tempura as tapas, with a mushroom soup. Good fresh fruit juices and cocktails. The rooms, restaurant, view, food and service here is amazing! I highly recommend coming for sunset it’s incredible! The food is also so fresh, delicious and well cooked. They have an incredibly long menu full of Balinese & western food. The moringa soup, and the chicken soup is genuinely to die for! I stayed for a week and got two every day. The owner putu is so lovely and an amazing hosts. I also love the little cats that live under my villa. Everyday I also go next door to blue earth village for incredible yoga. It’s truely a really special place. I highly recommend staying or coming to eat. ~ Helena S

Had a lovely week-long stay at Aroma de la Mer. Putu is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond for the guests and is always happy to help out however possible. The bungalow is well-appointed and comfortable with a dreamy outdoor bathroom and stunning views of Mt. Agung and just a stone's throw away from Jemeluk Bay. The included breakfast is very good (I particularly enjoyed the smoothie bowls) and the menu extensive enough to pick something different every day. The restaurant also offers lunch and dinner at reasonable prices, and they have tasty kombuchas available throughout the day. Great value for money. ~ Maruša M

Local molt acollidor amb una terrassa perfecta per a veure la posta de sol darrera del volcà. Econòmic, local, bon servei i bones vistes. Came for dinner and was so surprised that for such a great spot with incredible views over Jemuluk Bay, my partner and I were the only people there! Food was tasty and quick, service was wonderful and the set up is seriously beautiful. To get to the restaurant you have to access the stairs on the right side of the building which is a bit out of sight, but so worth the venture. Maybe it's because from the front it looks like a dive shop? But there is ample scooter parking out the front and the open air restaurant and elevation allows the breeze to keep cool. Would be great for group bookings too, with ample space in the restaurant. ~ Chanel A

Wir haben dort einen wunderbaren Kochkurs gemacht. Eine tolle Erfahrung. Jeder von uns vier hat was anderes gekocht, dazu Dessert. Wir wurden angeleitet von zwei Personen, die sich große Mühe gegeben haben. Alles mit frischen Zutaten, das Ergebnis hat ganz ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Wenn das Essen dort entsprechend zubereitet wird, dann ist es ein Genuss. Die Preise sind sehr fair und man hat einen tollen Blick über die Bucht und zum Agung. ~ Marcus V

Das Aroma Restaursnt, Traumhafte Aussicht und ausgezeichnetes Essen. Wer auf Bambus steht ist hier genau richtig. Alles aus Bambus und Holz gebaut. Für ein gemütliches Mitragessen genau richtig. Ich war um die Mittagszeit dort. Es waren nur 2 Gäste inkl. mir. Vielleicht ist abends mehr los, aber wer die Ruhe genießen will ist hier Gold richtig. Alles in allem auf alle Fälle einen Besuch wert. Alleine schon wegen der Aussicht. 5 Sterne ***** ~ Stefan B

We had the most amazing stay at Aroma de La Mer. Putu was an amazing host - she is so helpful and kind and caring. The rooms are lovely tidy and comfortable, we especially liked the open air shower. As for the restaurant - the food is also delicious - we had great meals at Aroma De La Mer - by far the best we’ve had in Amed. We had a chicken curry, the fruit platter, and the fried banana for dessert. Everything was so tasty, and really affordable prices too. The atmosphere is lovely, with great sunset views, and all the staff are so kind and attentive. ~ Tina P

Meine Spaghetti waren zwar keine Spaghetti (sondern Bandnudeln) aber geschmacklich sehr gut, vegetarisch, und es war eine große Portion und der Preis war sehr in Ordnung, auch beim Bier. Gegenüber ist übrigens dieses Restaurant "Sunset Point, allerdings wird man von diesem arroganten Pack bereits beim Eintritt darauf hingewiesen, dass man nur ja ausreichend viel essen muss, weil sonst zahlt man anscheinend Strafe (oder Eintritt), da habe ich gleich wieder umgedreht. Wundervolle familiäre Atmosphäre im Aroma de la Mer. Die freundlichen Balinesen, die dort arbeiten, haben sich liebevoll um uns gekümmert, als wir eine große Gruppenfeier organsierten. Als Überraschung für uns wurde ein balinesischer Tanzabend daraus. Liebevoll wurde das Restaurant für uns dekoriert und das Essen und die Cocktails waren einfach spitze. Danke für die wunderbare Bewirtung! Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder ins Aroma de la Mer. Danke liebes Team und ganz liebe Grüße! ~ Maria S

Nous voulions nous arrêté 15minutes juste pour un verre en soirée. Au final nous y sommes restés presque 4h. Nous avons mangé (un régal) et tester quelques cocktails. Le personnel est très serviable et souriant. Et cette vue 🤩 Je recommande ~ Maddie R

Beautiful location, great rooms, lovely staff, perfect for a romantic stay. This place has one of the best views of Amed. It has it's own restaurant with very good food and also a dive center downstairs. Each room is one separate wooden cabin with en suite bathroom. The cabin comes with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom is partially without roof, so you can shower under the stars. Breakfast is outstanding, wide variety of food and drinks, good portions. The staff provided us free of charge transportation in the city and to the beach. ~ Balázs S

Vanavond heerlijk gegeten bij Aroma restaurant. Prachtig uitzicht op de zonsondergang van de baai bij Amed. De Balinese Chicken Curry was fantastisch. Ook hebben ze hier heerlijke fruitige drankjes. We hebben genoten. 👍 ~ Reinald H

Fantastic food, location, views and rooms. I absolutely loved staying here, watching the beautiful sunrises and sunsets while eating the amazing food at their restaurant. They have great Balinese meals that are made fresh from trees in their garden - like moringa soup from a tree in the garden. It was such a delicious and nutritious daily meal for me. The rooms are fantastic, and super affordable. I highly recommend aroma de la mer. ~ Medicinal C

I am here at Aroma de la Mer for the second time on my trip to Bali. I love this place so much 🙏🏻 It’s clean, and there is really good karma and energy here. Putu, who runs the place, has an amazing energy and a big lovely smile ❤️ all the staff is nice and warm. Putu makes incredibly good food—delicious, healthy, and gluten-free. Last evening I had the best meal I have ever had 😍 I will give this place my best recommendation. ~ Jane A
